ODU Nursing Portfolio
Welcome!
My name is Angela Fennell.
Welcome to my Old Dominion University
School of Nursing
ePortfolio!
Here's a bit about me:

I graduated from nursing school in May of 2019 from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. Since then, I have worked at both Select Specialty Hospital at Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati and at Cleveland Clinic at Akron General. At Select Specialty, I have worked with patients on their medical, physical, and mental rehabilitation after acute episodes of their chronic illnesses. While at Cleveland Clinic, I worked primarily with stroke and seizure patients, as well as those recovering from spine and brain surgeries.

I graduated from Georgetown University in 2012 with a B.A. in English and Psychology. After graduation from Georgetown, I stayed in Washington, D.C. for 5 years and taught PreKindergarten at an inner city public charter school. I decided to return to the other side of the classroom when I enrolled in nursing school in order to pursue my passion for healthcare and service to others. I believe these pursuits are perfectly encompassed within the profession of nursing.

My goals in my nursing career include working towards my psychiatric nurse practitioner. This site hosts some of the many essays and experiences that I wrote and collected during my undergraduate career to becoming a Registered Nurse. I have learned much about myself and the nurse that I look forward to becoming.

I am excited that you have chosen to visit my page! Thank you for taking the time to look around!
Be Well,
